Opening of the "Cité de la Voile Eric Tabarly" in Lorient

The Cité de la Voile Eric Tabarly was officially opened on May 17th 2008. This attraction is designed to present specific entertainments and informations about sailing and sea racing. The building is located in the former Lorient submarine base and offers a surprising contrast between modernism and one of the main 2nd WW site.

Lorient Bretagne Sud Airport is managed by the Morbihan Chamber of Commerce & Industry. It has been throught significant changes for the past decades.

Its history has been much influenced by the air transport evolution, but also by the specific needs from the Region in terms of connexion with the other French provinces as well as with international markets. The Morbihan Chamber of Commerce & Industry currently studies the perspectives to extend and modernise the airport infrastructures and implement the required environmental standards .

Any new project is systematically subject to environmental studies, performed by qualified experts, in order to fit in the new stantards and suit sustainable development.
